In this module, mainly function of lumbosacral plexus will be considered. More advanced modules will delve deeper into these concepts and investigate the vestibular system, central sensorimotor system and brainstem.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to advanced palpation skills to assess lumbar spine, sacral and innominate function<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to basic visceral palpation in lower abdominal quadrants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Day Two<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review of current literature on normal and pathological mechanics of the lumbar spine and pelvis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review of literature and discussion of pathologies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manual skills (osteopathic and chiropractic techniques) to normalize lumbar spine, sacral and innominate function &#8211; for a true chiropractic group this will include review of concepts in adjusting and introduction to different adjusting strategies, as well as non-HVLA techniques (if non-chiropractors are present there will be no HVLA approaches considered)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manual skills to normalize hip and symphysis pubis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to advanced manual therapy skills to correct muscular, fascial and visceral tissues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Closing ceremonies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>COURSE OBJECTIVES<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review and deepen knowledge and understanding of lumbar spine and pelvis anatomy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and deepen knowledge and understanding of lumbar spine and pelvis biomechanics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and deepen knowledge and understanding of lumbar spine and pelvis neurology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attendees will learn techniques to assess and correct:<br>-Lumbar vertebrae (including HVLA and non-HVLA techniques)<br>-Sacrum<br>-Iliac<br>-Thoracolumbar junction<br>-Psoas, iliacus, quadratus lumborum<br>-Diaphragm<br>-Hip joint<br>-Symphysis pubis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>BIO:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emmanuel Frantzis, DC, DO(MP)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/progressiveosteopathy.ca\/_next\/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.sanity.io%2Fimages%2Fp14jflw6%2Fproduction%2F2d877155f392f8f092da5bdcedf8eb83e614246b-400x500.png&amp;w=828&amp;q=75\" alt=\"Emmanuel Frantzis\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Emmanuel Frantzis is a chiropractor and manual osteopathic practitioner. Educated at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO), he integrates a unique combination of chiropractic, osteopathy, advanced exercise and nutritional approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Frantzis has worked in private practice since 2001 and was a teacher of Osteopathy at CCO from 2008-2015. In addition, he has served as National Team Therapist for Beach Volleyball Canada (1997-2008) accompanying the team to two Olympic Games (Sydney 2000, and Athens 2004).
