Palpate and accurately identify relevant anatomical landmarks, tender points, trigger points, peripheral nerve pathways, and commonly used acupuncture points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Demonstrate safe patient positioning and skin preparation for acupuncture treatment of common chronic and neuropathic pain conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Select appropriate local, distal, segmental, and contralateral acupuncture points based on the patient\u2019s pain location, symptoms, functional limitations, and clinical presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Demonstrate safe needle insertion, depth, angle, manipulation, and removal techniques in commonly treated anatomical regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apply appropriate needling modifications for patients with reduced sensation, diabetes, impaired circulation, anticoagulant use, frailty, or increased risk of tissue injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Demonstrate the safe application of electroacupuncture, including lead placement, parameter selection, intensity adjustment, contraindication screening, and patient monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Develop and perform a practical acupuncture treatment protocol for common conditions such as chronic low-back pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, peripheral neuropathy, radicular pain, and postherpetic neuralgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monitor the patient during treatment and respond appropriately to pain, bleeding, dizziness, vasovagal reactions, needle discomfort, or other adverse events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reassess pain, sensation, movement, and function following treatment and use the findings to modify point selection, treatment dosage, frequency, and future care planning<\/p>\n\n\n\n
