This 6-hour continuing education session provides chiropractors with a practical approach to the diagnostic imaging evaluation of traumatic injuries to the upper and lower extremities. Through a combination of focused didactic instruction, real-world case presentations, and interactive learning activities, participants will refine their ability to interpret radiographs, recognize clinically significant trauma patterns, and determine when advanced imaging is indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Apply recognized imaging appropriateness criteria to determine when radiographs or advanced imaging are indicated for extremity trauma.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Analyze upper and lower extremity radiographs to identify fractures, dislocations, avulsion injuries, and trauma-related osseous changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Evaluate the necessity of CT, MRI, or ultrasound based on mechanism of injury, clinical presentation, and suspected pathology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Differentiate imaging findings that represent red flags, unstable injuries, or conditions requiring immediate referral or co-management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
